The motto of St. Teresa High School is Serviam, which means “I will serve.” Our school-wide Christian Service Learning program is based on the mission of St. Teresa High School and our call as Christians to serve the “least” of our brothers and sisters in Christ-like love.
There is a constant call to love others and to give freely the gifts that have been given to us. In the spirit of the Gospel values, we take a step toward becoming more aware of the needs of others and sharing our gifts of time and presence.
The program requires every student to complete 10 hours of service each year; 8 of the 10 hours must be in direct service to people in need. In addition, two school days (one in the fall, one in the spring) are devoted to serving our community. Students, faculty, staff, board members, and other adult volunteers work together to complete service projects and serve at organizations that benefit people in greatest need.
