Angela Bean, a sophomore at St. Teresa, has been diagnosed with pseudopapillary tumors on both her liver and pancreas. Angela will be traveling to Chicago in January to have surgery at Lurie Children’s Hospital. The Whipple is a major surgical procedure that will require Angela to stay in the hospital for at least 5 weeks. While Angela is hospitalized, her parents will be splitting their time between the Ronald McDonald House in Chicago and Decatur where Angela’s two younger brothers, one at St. Pat’s and another at home, will be staying.
The Bean family can use all of the prayers and support that the St. Teresa community can provide. To help mitigate their expenses, St. Teresa is organizing a gas and grocery gift card collection. Gift cards can be dropped off at the Main Office. The scrip program has Walmart, County Market, Shell, Marathon, Circle K, and BP gift cards that can be purchased on the Bean’s behalf. St. Teresa is having a Jeans 4 Quarters on Friday, December 15. All proceeds will go to the Bean family.
Questions can be directed to the Main Office 875-2431.
