December tends to be a busy month for charitable giving to St. Teresa. In December 2017 alone, St. Teresa received nearly $600,000 in gifts for the High School and Educational Foundation combined -- greater than any other month of the year.
As you consider your charitable giving this December, please consider making a gift to St. Teresa. Areas of priority at St. Teresa include the Annual Fund and the Sustain the Future campaign.
Gifts to the Annual Fund are immediately used to support the operations of educating students. While tuition is the major source of funding to operate the school annually, the gap between tuition and the true cost of educating a student is $5,800.
The Sustain the Future campaign, a collaborative effort between the High School and Educational Foundation, is the largest campaign St. Teresa has undertaken with a goal of $10.5 million, with funds being added to the St. Teresa Educational Foundation. To date, the campaign has received over $7.1 million in gifts and pledges from over 700 individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Right now, any new gifts or pledges qualify for the McCoy Million Dollar Challenge where for every $100,000 in new cumulative commitments Alumnus Jack '55, and his wife Barb, McCoy will give $25,000 up to a total of $250,000. We have met $400,000 of the $1 million in new commitments required to fully meet this challenge.
