Congratulations to St. Teresa for finishing 4th at the state final of the annual Academic Challenge, sponsored by Eastern Illinois University. St. Teresa competed in the division for schools with 300 or fewer students. Prior to the state competition, St. Teresa was 2nd at the sectional and 1st at the regional. Fourteen students from each school take written tests for subjects in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, English, Mathematics, and Physics.
This 4th place improves on last year's 8th place finish and matches the highest finish for our school, which was attained in 2016.
Here is a list of the St. Teresa students that earned one of the top 10 scores:
Charlie Blackburn: 3rd Chemistry and 9th Mathematics

Jack Kramer: 6th English and tied for 9th Biology
Mitchell Vandercar: 10th Chemistry
